Open-File Reports

The Arizona Geological Survey (AZGS) is charged with disseminating its geologic reports and maps widely.  This online venue provides, for the first time in our 120-year history, unfettered access to select published materials – AZGS Bulletins, Circulars, Contributed Maps and Reports, Digital Geologic Maps, Digital Maps, and Open-File Reports. 

Our immediate goal is to upload recent and new publications first, to be followed by older material.  Downloadable files () are in PDF (unless otherwise indicated): in cases of voluminous PDFs – 30 to 120 Mb, we provide a JPG preview (). Also, some files may be zipped.

Of course, we still print affordable geologic maps and reports as needed.  And for our newer digital geologic maps, we now market digital data for the geoscience-GIS professional, look for GISDATA in the listing below.  GISDATA is available at our bookstore for $25 including geodatabase, shapefiles, browse graphics, metadata, technical report if available, and an overview file.
